About Skanda

I am an Environmental Engineer driven by the challenge of transforming industrial waste into sustainable resources. My work exists at the intersection of site characterization and biotechnological innovation, where I apply advanced microbial research to solve complex remediation problems.

With a foundational background in Civil Engineering from Anna University and an M.S. from Arizona State University, I have spent the last four years at Arcadis U.S. navigating the technical and regulatory complexities of contaminated site assessment. My experience ranges from managing multi-state compliance portfolios (EPCRA Tier II) to coordinating in-situ thermal remediation projects for global energy leaders.

"My goal is to integrate bench-scale precision with industrial-scale execution to drive the next generation of sustainable environmental solutions."

Current Focus Areas

  • Sustainable Materials: Advancing the valorization of scrap tire rubber into high-value modifiers.
  • Metabolic Engineering: Investigating anaerobic mixed cultures for large-scale biofuel production.
  • Regulatory Strategy: Streamlining air quality and aquifer protection permitting in high-growth corridors.
